Simply The Prayer Pod

For those who find it difficult to pray, not always finding the words to say... like I, a lot of times still do. But it’s okay. For those just needing to hear and have agreement in prayer, it’s easier to do it together. Or those who just can’t seem to find the time, just listen and pray while you’re commuting or when you have a free moment to spare. The prayers are sometimes raw, sometimes focused on a particular issue or subject. Either way, God still cares and hears us. So, are heavy burdens weighing you down? Feeling sad, angry or lonely? Or testings, troubles and temptations getting you into a conundrum (a complicated problem)? All these can have us feeling hopeless at times, but God will hear you even if you can’t speak the words you want to say. They don’t have to be so eloquent or flow smoothly and effortlessly. The Lord knows what you mean. He understands our heart cries. Even our groans...Romans 8:26-27 says, ”In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” (NIV) ”And the Father Who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is sayin, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” (NLT) So if you hear me humin’, singin’ or even groaning, don’t think it strange. I’m just praying in the Spirit. Please don’t be afraid or taken aback if you hear a little excitement in my voice, I’m just caught up in the joy, goodness or power of the Holy Spirit. I Hope you’re uplifted and encouraged in some way throughout our times of prayer. Now join me as I join my heart with the Lord’s heart this morning..Let’s Pray! God be with you until we meet again. Grace and Peace God’s Beloved! Scripture References: Rom. 8:26-27, Ps. 69:13, Ps. 102:16-17, Jonah 2:7, Ps. 4:1, Rom. 12:12, Phil. 4:6-7, Mark 11:24, Eph. 6:18, 1 Thess. 5:17

So for those who have an ear to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to you today! God nor the Holy Spirit is limited in their power. So whenever you're praying and making your requests known before God, understand that your concerns, petitions and cries are not falling on deaf ears and nothing is too hard for our God.

It's time to get raw y'all! Last year, I said and recorded prayers anywhere, everywhere about any and everything. During my morning prayers, while driving in the car and so on. It's time to go with that flow again for the next couple of months. I "dug out" some of last year's recordings to post. I'm praying God's blessing on every listener. Pray with me.
Weekly Meditative Scripture:
Romans 8:14

Welcome back to Simply The Prayer Pod! I am still trusting the Lord with every part of my life. He is in charge. As I was praying the Lord laid a word from Isiah 61 on my heart and this is what He says in verse 3, I will grant to those who mourn in Zion an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment praise instead of a heavy burden. Those are beautiful words of comfort to me and anyone who needs it. I don't know what you may be going through right now, but look to the Lord our God. He is waiting to hear from you so he can help you...Let's take it to the Lord in prayer.
Weekly Meditative Scripture:
Luke 4:17-21

Can life, health and peace come from death? Ask any expert; a farmer, a horticulturist, or an agriculturist and the answer will be a resounding yes. This spring season we think of new beginnings, new life, new things to look forward to...It's just a revigorating and rejuvenating time for all life God has created. It's no mistake that we celebrate the Lord Jesus' resurrection at this time of year... Now that is something to anticipate , be joyful about and put a spring in our steps!

This week we are back praying for the women God has and will raise up in and with His virtue. We honor ourselves during National Women's Month while thanking our Lord for allowing us to accomplish good and significant things for our families, for our communities and for those women who have even attained national recognition throughout history. Most of all we thank God for endowing, equipping and empowering us to do wonderful yet practical works for His Kingdom. Today we are praying Proverbs 31.

Simply The Prayer Pod

I am simply a lay person in the church in service to the Lord. I participate in ministries of helps and intercessory prayer according to scripture: 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Timothy 2:1 - 4 and Ephesians 3:14-20. The word of God tells us to pray with and for one another (James 5:16). I believe the Lord led me to do this podcast because many people do not feel adequate enough or are comfortable praying. Those feelings are common even abroad the body of Christ, but I'm gonna pray anyway! Although we are to go to our Elders in the church for prayer when needed, many feel isolated thinking they have no one to turn to. Others have no church home. For those this is a safe place for prayer. I welcome you to join any time. God does not respect one person over another. He is waiting to hear from everybody. He wants to be a part of your life, relating to you as you engage with Him. Spend time with Him and you will soon realize He has been with you all along and He answers prayer. Jesus is the ultimate intercessor between us and the Father. Let's Pray!
